Kelim Teppich. Zürich. Semi-antique Ghutschan Jajim. Tapis et kilims nomades. Zurich, Suisse,

Semi-antique Jajim

Plum base, blue, brown and orange

This very old Ghutschan piece is composed of narrow bands of warp-faced weave sewn together with allover symbolic motifs, as talismans for protection or for fertility. The burgundy / plum base contrasts well with the deep blue stripes and the orange features. This piece in beautiful natural dyes is rather difficult to find these days.
