This is a brocaded flatweave kilim from Obruk / Konya region with two panels sewn together with long carmine red fringe and all borders in perfect condition. The quality of the wool, the motifs and the colors are very typical. These kinds of textiles were used as blankets, niche coverings or room/tent decoration. It could be used on the floor in a place where it will not get too much wear and tear, for example as bedside rug.
