Raspberry red, deep blue, ivory 

A very unusual prayer kilim from Anatolia, likely from the Gaziantep region, based on its motifs and distinctive color palette. A wide range of symbolic motifs decorates the blue mihrab and the bright raspberry-colored ground. Tribal iconography merges with the traditional function of a Muslim prayer rug. The composition is particularly pleasing, with a format more imposing than most prayer kilims. It has undergone several repairs over time, bearing witness to its age, but the colors are especially fresh and vibrant, enhancing its visual impact.
