Off-white, red with green and blue
Beautiful traditional berber kilim from the Middle Atlas (probably Zemmour tribe). Fine
weaving, With natural white wool and red rhomboid motifs with touch of blue and green. The kilim is adorned with small silver sequins, suggesting that it was either used for or intended to be part of a
festive occasion, most likely a wedding. This rather thick and intricately crafted piece also features a distinctive border, embroidered with thick
red and green wool. The woven patterns are highly elaborate, continuously evolving and varying throughout the fabric. This is clearly a special piece, into which a great deal of skill and
creativity have been invested—supporting the idea that it was part of a dowry or celebration.
