Blue field, rust red, mustard yellow, olive green, dark
brown, and ivory
A rare and desirable type, not often seen on the
market. It is most likely an Avar or Kuba kilim, originating from the South Caucasus or Dagestan
region. This kilim features a striking design with large, multicoloured hooked motifs arranged in a bold, well-balanced composition. The light blue field adds a fresh, appealing
contrast to the overall palette. Some minor black areas show slight corrosion, which is typical for its age and material. One end has had careful restoration, including some repiling and
older repairs.
