Originating from the remote villages of the Beni-Mellal region, these rugs are created by the Azilal tribe, whose territory stretches from north of the High Atlas Mountains to the southern edges of the Middle Atlas range. This rug showcases an abstract interpretation of traditional Berber lozenge patterns. Set against an ivory wool background, a network of motif shifts between sharp definition and soft blur, creating a dynamic visual rhythm. Portions of the design are accented with vibrant red details.
